PLAN
There can be few better ways to enjoy the beautiful scenery to be found in the Donegal countryside than by trekking on horseback. Meandering along quiet by ways and tracks, encountering the odd sheep or two along the way, it is the perfect way to unwind, relax and forget the hectic lifestyle that many of us must endure these days.
Offering miles of solitary, secluded beaches and a hinterland of mountain, moor and bog, Donegal is an undiscovered gem of a destination. From the rolling hills of the south to the stunning mountain wilderness of the north with a coastline of breathtaking seascapes, it is a paradise found to the rider. Experience the exhilaration of a full gallop along a seemingly endless beach, racing against the pounding surf of the wild Atlantic Ocean.
Riding instruction is available at the many A.I.R.E. Approved Equestrian Centres located throughout the county. They offer the visitor the opportunity to safely develop their horse riding skills in a relaxed holiday atmosphere.
Donegal offers so much to the horse lover, once you have ridden into a Donegal sunset you will feel the need to return to our shores again and again.
