The Mícheál Ó’Cléirigh Summer School returns for its eleventh annual event in 2025, this year with the theme “Diaspora and Homecoming” – focusing on Irish people and places in Europe. The school will take place over the weekend of Friday, May 9th to Sunday, May 11th, in the scenic surroundings of Rossnowlagh, Co. Donegal, the birthplace of Mícheál Ó’Cléirigh, the famous historian and one of the key contributors to the Annals of the Four Masters.
Theme: “Deoraithe ag filleadh ar ais go hÉireann” – A focus on the Irish Diaspora and the return of the Irish to their roots in Ireland. This unique theme will explore the historical and cultural connections between Ireland and Europe, reflecting on the experiences of the Irish abroad and their eventual return.
